Born in North Carolina, David Penman lived briefly in Indiana and Alaska before calling California his home for the past 50 years. He retired from a career in aerospace and currently resides in Long Beach with his wife, Kim. David is a life-long artist who enjoys painting and sketching the outdoors, especially the places he has visited. His love of nature, from the desert to the sea, is reflected in his artwork. Although David also paints in other mediums, he loves the versatility and brightness that watercolor provides. In addition to his artwork, David enjoys hiking the local environs and exploring the deserts and mountains of Southern California.
